The story behind the design:

The Feathered Serpent, one of the most significant figures in Mesoamerican cultures, is known as Kukulkan to the Maya and Quetzalcoatl to the Aztecs. Combining the earthbound serpent with the vibrant feathers of the sky-dwelling quetzal bird, it is depicted as a being able to move between earth and sky, connecting different realms.
